Data management plans
If you collect research data, you probably need a data management plan. Most funding agencies now require that a plan is included already when a proposal is submitted. SBDI helps you to create a solid data management plan for your biodiversity project.
A data management plan is a formal document that describes how data are to be handled during a research project and after the project is completed. The plan should describe items such as:
- Data acquisition process
- Data and metadata content and format
- Data and metadata standards for content
- Procedures for sharing and reuse of data
- Long-term maintenance and archiving
